Together for a better future: our collaboration with Flying Angels

Our collaboration with Flying Angels has deep roots and is based on shared values of solidarity, commitment and hope. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise vital funds that allowed many children to receive the medical care they desperately needed. Every donation, small or large, has contributed to writing stories of hope and rebirth, transforming the lives of numerous children and their families. Below, we want to tell you some of the stories that have marked this path of solidarity.

Yabo

The story of Yabo

It was 2023 when we had the honor of helping little Yabo, a one-year-old girl originally from the Ivory Coast. Born with severe heart disease, Yabo lost her father at an early age, leaving her very young, widowed mother to fight alone. Thanks to the donations collected, Yabo was able to undergo an operation in Naples that saved her life. Today, Yabo is in excellent health and plays happily like all children his age.

Zeynab

The story of Zeynab

Zeynab is also originally from the Ivory Coast, she was born in 2007 after a difficult birth that forced her to be hospitalized for a long time due to malnutrition. At just 8 years old, Zeynab was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Despite adversity and her father's abandonment, her mother Sahoudatou demonstrated extraordinary strength, always remaining close to her daughter. In November 2023, Zeynab underwent surgery at Naples Hospital to finally correct her heart anomaly. Today, Zeynab is well and ready to live a full and happy life.

Ngone

The story of Ngone

Ngone, a 5-year-old Senegalese girl, began her difficult health journey at the age of three, when she was diagnosed with adhesions in her larynx that required a tracheotomy. Unfortunately over the years the little girl continued to have problems with these adhesions and the doctors on site suggested a laryngoplasty with the insertion of an umbrella prosthesis, which is not available in Senegal. Despite ongoing health problems, Ngone and her grandmother flew to Italy on 20 January 2024. Now, thanks to the surgery at the S.Orsola-Malpighi Polyclinic in Bologna, Ngone is happy and serene.

Adjoba

The story of Adjoba

In April of this year, with the funds raised, we helped Adjoba, a three-year-old girl from Bonoua, Ivory Coast. Born prematurely and with severe respiratory complications, Adjoba faced frequent hospitalizations. Her family's economic difficulties made it impossible to meet her medical needs. Thanks to our collaboration with Flying Angels, Adjoba reached the Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova for a life-saving operation. After the surgery, her parents hope that Adjoba will be able to return to full health and start school.

Grace

Grace's Story

Grace is a sweet 11-year-old girl from the Ivory Coast, born with Down syndrome and a serious congenital heart disease that was life-threatening. Her family, despite financial difficulties, has always fought with great courage to ensure a better future for her. Grace's mother, forced to leave her job to take care of her family and her daughter, faced this challenge with strength and determination. Thanks to the support of our customers and the collaboration with Flying Angels, we were able to raise the necessary funds to allow Grace and her mother to fly from the Ivory Coast to Italy. Here, at the Vincenzo Monaldi Hospital in Naples, Grace finally received the life-saving surgery she needed. Today, little Grace is in good hands and, thanks to the generosity of those who contributed, she can look to the future with hope.

Julia

Julia's story

In recent months, we have dedicated ourselves to helping Julia, a newborn baby of just one and a half months from Kayunga, Uganda. The little girl suffered from a serious heart condition that required delicate open-heart surgery. On November 28, accompanied by her mother, Julia flew to Narayana Health Hospital in Bangalore, India, where she received the care she urgently needed. The journey was demanding, faced with the aid of oxygen on board due to her fragile condition. The surgery went well, and today Julia is back home. She is doing well and is surrounded by the love of her family.

Thanks to your support, Julia has been able to receive the care she needed. Every contribution has made a difference. We will continue to support Flying Angels and many other children who, like her, need help. Together we can truly change a life. Thank you so much.
