With our ambassador Giorgio Pulcini, we flew to Annecy, France, to delve into the heart of The North Face research and development. In the All Triangles laboratory, we discovered how trail running technologies are created: a unique mix of craftsmanship, experimentation, and real-world testing. An immersive experience that allowed us to see the new Altamesa 500 v2 and much more up close.

All Triangle: where innovation is born

The Annecy lab is a vibrant, highly technical environment, where ideas, materials, and athlete feedback are transformed into concrete solutions for trail running. Here, The North Face professional athletes customize their products, helping to improve footwear and technologies through field testing and bespoke modifications. This process ensures high performance and the continuous evolution of The North Face products.

An incredible experience: the workshop, the test and the advice of Pau Capell

The visit to the All Traingle lab was a unique experience. After the welcome, we previewed the Altamesa 500 v2, a versatile and comfortable trail running shoe , coming in March 2026. Giorgio took part in an interactive workshop to customize his model, and we had the opportunity to chat with Pau Capell, multiple winner of the Transgrancanaria , the 2019 UTMB, and creator of numerous personal projects. With him, we tested the new The North Face trail shoes on the beautiful trails near the French city of Annecy. They were unique moments full of discovery: a true immersion in the world and innovations of trail running.
